DigiSphere II ... Elektron Digitakt II Ambient Sound Pack

121 lively and atmospheric sounds for the Elektron Digitakt II.

With the first DigiSphere sound pack, the obstacle was to work around the limitations of the Digitakt (mono samples, little RAM and storage space) and still create atmospheric sounds. Digitakt II has now given me all the freedom and sound design tools to create the sound pack I wanted to make back then. And so I put in as much of “substan sound” as possible ... everything I need for my ambient tracks.

DigiSphere II is only compatible with the Digitakt II and does not work on the original Digitakt. The samples (16bit / 48khz / stereo) on which the sounds are based can of course also be used on any other sampler.

Very few sounds are marked with an X at the beginning of the name. When creating these sounds I came across a bug (Digitakt II is still relatively young at this point). No matter which notes you play with these sounds, from time to time notes are triggered in the set root note. As long as you play in a scale where a C fits, this can even be a nice effect. Without these sounds DigiSphere II would not be complete and this bug will hopefully be fixed by Elektron soon and you can remove the X in the name.

If you preview the sounds in the sound browser, they are often not looped without clicks because only a fraction of the sample is loaded into RAM when previewing. When you load the sounds, they loop seamlessly.

The project file “DigiSphere FX” contains the effect settings I used to create the sounds on all patterns of BANK A. It is best to use this project file to explore the sounds of DigiSphere II because the send effect settings on Elektron devices are not saved with the sound.
